IPKKND: Turmoil Chapter 3

So yesterday I got so many requests from 'Newbies' to be specific. They joined IF to ask for permission to view my blog. Now my Inbox was packed with nearly 200+ requests for invitations to my Blog, but I kept opening them to let the Inbox cool down.
I thought that I was being a bit too harsh.
The ONLY people allowed to post my work on Facebook are
Alina
&
Sanchita
No body else is allowed, unless if you have asked for my permission. I'm being really kind enough to allow Anonymous people view this blog. Some who do, never comment, while some do. Please take my kindness as something nice that I am doing.
It won't even take a second for me to delete this blog and everything on IF.
So think before you copy and paste.
The outcomes are not always so positive.
[I am a human being... but I could be a Bitch at times :P And you won't like that would you?]

Back to the Update.
Translations are below, and I have added them for the previous Chapter as well. Check the On-Going Short Story section to find the rest of the Chapters there.

‘Some wounds can be healed, some can’t. Some that are healed can be scraped to open the old wounds…’ - Ravneet

The rain hadn’t stopped yet and it seemed as if it were never were to stop, just like the hate relationships between Arnav and Khushi.
She climbed the staircase towards her room, her hair was dripping wet, and her suit slinging onto her skin. Her curves and slim waist was clearly visible, and her nose had turned red due to the chilly weather outside.
Going towards her closet, she pulled out a pair of warm joggers and a sweat shirt. Ever since she had arrived to San Francisco, she had changed most of her dressing senses, but she still kept her values and traditions in mind. Khushi chose not to wear any sort of revealing, western dresses. Arnav had many parties to attend over the past six months which were associated with business and all, but she never really wanted to accompany him.
She had her reasons; one, Arnav never really implied on that she was wife, two, he really disliked her.
Khushi was the type of girl who didn’t prefer in being around someone who disliked her. She preferred being with the people who loves her. But she knew that for her it was only possible to roam around people who disliked her.
She was unwanted.
Her own parents had disowned her after she had gotten married with Arnav, consisting only his family members. A few weeks later, when Arnav had gone to London, his entire family had died in a car accident.
Again she had survived among them.
Her Devi Maiyaan had given her two new lives.
One, when only one person could survive between her and Lavanya. At that time she had survived.
Two, when out of nearly 7 members in a car accident, she had also survived with only a few injuries.
Arnav also had his reasons to hate her.
Most of all, he hated her luck… which helped her survive almost every time she was about to die.
Not that he wished for her to die, but he just hated the fact that every time he lost his loved ones, she was there with them, yet she always survived.
Why?
---
“The Doctor had asked to give you some hot and sour soup, along with your medications…” Khushi knocked on his door.
He was looking out through his balcony at the birds migrating due to the upcoming harsh weathers. “I’ll order it from the restaurant.” He replied without looking back at her.
“It’s on the table, you could go and eat it” she left without hearing another answer from him. He turned back to see if she was still there, but she had left already.
His thoughts rendered around his Di’s words which were constantly haunting his mind.

‘Promise me Chhotte.. that you will take care of her, if not love her’
‘It wasn’t her fault and you know it!’
‘She loves you and that’s why she bears all the torture you give her’
‘You have to move on Chhotte… she was your past, but Khushi is you present’
‘Don’t let your past affect your present and future Chhotte’
‘Someday when you realize your mistakes, your Di won’t be here with you’
‘You can’t blame her for everything Chhotte! She was also her sister you know!’

‘Sister? Yah right! F*ck’n stepsister!’ Arnav gritted his teeth and his hands had turned into fists by now.
---
“What is this?” he asked Khushi, who was sitting in the living room with a magazine in her hands. She turned her head towards the kitchen where Arnav was stirring the soup she had just made.
“It’s soup” she looked at him in the eye and then went back on reading her magazine. He rolled his eyes before walking up to her with the hot bowl of soup in his hands. “I can see that! But it’s not the one that I like!” he placed it on the coffee table, which was right across from the sofa where she was sitting.
Putting the magazine aside, she looked up at Arnav and made her way to her side of the kitchen. She opened the garbage bin which was below the sink, and showed him the packet of soup.
‘Knorr- Hot and Sour Soup’
“Don’t worry… if I had put poison in this then I would have told you beforehand” she walked pass him as he held her wrist in a tight grip.
“Jab main tumse baat kar raha hoon, then don’t walk away from me!” he pulled her back, causing her to hit her back against the counter. “And I know that you wouldn’t dare to put poison in my soup!” he neared her and she had no space to step back.
Her eyes flickered with fear, as his hand from her wrist descended down to her waist, “Itnii himmatt nahi hai tum mein” he whispered in her ear.
She shoved him back with her force and he stumbled his balance, “I have the guts to do things that you can never imagine for me to do!” she pushed him aside and made her way to her room, leaving him all baffled at the recent scene that had just taken place right now.
Khushi walked back and forth in her room, wondering how cruel could her husband get. Well actually he wasn’t really her husband, he was just her husband for a year. Even now if he was her husband, they never behaved like a married couple, in fact they behaved worse than enemies.
She heard a loud shatter in the house, as if something had broken. She ran down the stairs to see what had happened, and she realized that crockeries were being thrown on the marble floor, shattering into numerous pieces. Her eyes fell on Arnav who was pulling off the curtains, pushing aside the chairs and crockeries. He was in full rage and she was witnessing it.
“Arnav!” she yelled at him and he turned to see her coming towards him. It seemed as if she were to grab his collar and ask him what was wrong with him, but she didn’t.
Instead she bent down to pick up the shattered pieces of glass that were scattered across the floor. Most of the crockery was no more and it was all shattered. Just as if their relationship had shattered into a million of pieces.
Khushi walked near the kitchen, where Arnav was standing with sweat dripping from his forehead, his breath was hearable from across the room. She silently picked up the broken pieces of the plate, one by one, gathering them in her hands.
Arnav stared at Khushi as she was going back and forth to throw the broken glass pieces that were in her hands. He was utterly shocked at how she hadn’t burst at him yet. He watched her picking up the last few pieces of the glass, but this time she had decided to go straight towards the garbage bin rather than going around to throw them. But that was a wrong choice.
The one step she took towards the garbage bin, she gasped. She felt the ping in her foot as she felt bits of glass piercing through her foot.
“Sss” she hissed in pain. Khushi stumbled towards the garbage bin, and threw the last few pieces of broken glass.
Arnav still stood there, watching her struggle to walk back; he also noticed her eyes getting moist. It was as if she were to cry right here, but she had never cried in his presence. She had always showed him that she was strong and she was bold.
“Rukho” he called out to her as she was trying to make her way up the stairs. Well she couldn’t really move across the kitchen without holding the kitchen slab.
Khushi turned around and she was quickly of her feet. To her instance, she was lifted off of her feet, and it was obvious that she was lifted in Arnav’s arms. Her arms instantly reached up to his shirt, one clutching his collar and the other, wrapped around his neck.
“At least dekh kar toh chall liya karo!” he looked ahead as he strolled up the stairs to place her on her bed in her room.
As he gently placed her on the bed, he looked around the room to find the first aid kit to apply on her foot. “It’s in the left hand side of the drawer… laal anarkali ke neeche” she tilted her head to point at the cupboard.
“It’s my house! Mujhe patha hai kii kahan pada hai!” he gave her a cold look.
She also gave him a cold look and laughed sarcastically before replying to him in the same manner, “Parr yeh hamara kamra hai”
He gave a stern smile and walked towards the cupboard to grab the first aid kit, but his eyes fell on something unusual.
It was Khushi’s diary.
As much as he didn’t want to read it but he had an urge to know what she wrote about him in her diary. ‘I don’t know what on Earth does this Daayan write about me…’ he thought before catching a glimpse of the white first aid box.
“Next time, watch your step” he walked towards her with the first aid box and sat next to her. He placed her foot on his thighs as he opened the box and realized that his pants had got wet. Not in that area, but instead on his thighs, where Khushi’s foot was resting.
The cut was deep, really deep. More overly the one glass piece was sort of big. Some small bits of glass were around the heel of her foot, but the major one was the one that caused the deep cut.
He slowly started to pull the piece out of her foot, careful not to hurt her too much. She hissed in pain and clutched his shoulder. As he step by step pulled at the glass piece, she let out a shriek, her nails reached in contact with his skin below his shirt. Her eyes shut tight, and her teeth clenched to not let out a gasp, as if he didn’t know if she were in pain or not.
Arnav looked up at Khushi, “Tum teekh ho?” he asked her.
She nodded her head in denial, indicating that she was not ok. In fact she isn’t ok.
By now the glass pieces had been carefully taken out of her foot, and he applied the minor cut tube and wrapped her foot to cover up the wound.
“The wound will heal as time passes by, just try not to do something stupid!” he closed the first aid box, placing all the items back in place. He walked towards the cupboard to put the first aid box back in its respective place, before he heard her call him from behind.
“It’s been nearly six months Arnav… the wounds still haven’t healed yet… neither for you, and nor for me. Your wounds haven’t healed, but you’re scraping mine” she said before turning off her lamp and sliding into bed, for her afternoon nap.
His eyes closed, as he remembered his harsh past, but this gave him a chance to take her diary.
Walking towards the door, Arnav shut the door behind, making his way to his room to read her diary.

A/N: Ok so many requests came for translations and this was the best I could do. You now know a bit more about Arnav and Khushi’s past, and I will try to involve more emotions to portray their relationship a bit better. Many of you guys are asking me why I am not updating and taking so much time… well the reason being is that I have upcoming exams this month and I need to study. Until then for January, please have some patience.
And one more thing. Translations for Chapter 2A have also been placed in the chapter, so please go back and hit like for the chapter and do the same for this one <3
