IPKKND: Turmoil Chapter 1

With a heavy heart and with complete faith in you all, I am posting this here, waiting for your reactions
*Sighs*

‘Love is when you shed a tear and still want him, it's when he ignores you and you still love him, it's when he loves another girl but you still smile and say I'm happy for you, when all you really do is cry.’ – Unknown

Chapter 1

‘The more he hates me… the more I love him’ - Ravneet
She was sitting near the porch looking above her to find the grey shadows with the howling winds blowing across her face. It was a rainy day as usual, nothing new for her. All this time even the sky was shedding tears just as she was for the past six months. Shedding tears for the man who she loved the most while he didn’t care less before accusing her for something so cheap. Her eyes had dried up by now, she was tired of crying those worthless and meaningless tears for someone who never cared. For someone who considered her as nothing but a liar. Liar. That was what she was considered as.
The lightning struck and she saw how the people around her were running madly to find a roof to hide themselves. From the rain; from the lightning. One young girl had run with her pitched black umbrella which flew back due to the heavy winds, but she had successfully hid herself below another man’s umbrella. It was also pitched black, though it was in a good condition unlike hers. His arm wound around her as he held her tight, so close to him as if he would never let go of her. The rain had increased and so had the winds with the lightning.
She watched as the two couple laughed with their silly antics. The girl had caught some drops of the falling rain in her hands and splashed them on the boy’s face while he did the same. Their laughter echoed in her ears reminding her that it wasn’t the same for them. It wasn’t the same for her. It wasn’t the same for her and Arnav.
They had never talked in these six months so laughter was a different story. They barely saw each other in these six months, and neither had they ever dared to even text each other to ask whether one was ok or not. There was plain silence in their home. Their home. Their. Home. Were these words supposed to be together in a sentence?
It never seemed as if it were their home. They knew each other yet they were strangers. Home. The place where they lived was more of a rental apartment. Both married but living in separate rooms with separate kitchens and everything separate. It was as if they had a mere line between themselves; the line which they had never dared to cross or erase.
People had thought that they were the best couple in their family, but did they know the harsh reality? Did they know that the best couple were living in separate rooms and behaving like strangers since the day they had married?
No.
They had no idea what so ever of what they were doing here.
***
The clock struck 12am, and still there was no sign of him. The heavy winds had calmed and the rain had stopped, though the air remained slightly chilly. The trees across their house had fallen and not one man was seen on the road.
Her trance broke apart when she had heard the phone ringing. It surely had startled her and with no delay she lifted up the receiver and placed it next to her ear.
“Hello” she murmured over the phone.
“Is this Mrs. Raizada?” asked a man with a heavy voice.
She wondered for a while that who it could be calling her at midnight and that too asking if she was Mrs. Raizada. “Yes” she replied.
“I’m afraid he met with an accident and you should really head here at St. John’s” she did feel the slight pang in her heart when she had heard those terrible words out of an unknown man, but she then asked herself ‘Why do I care?’
Placing a stone in her heart she hung up the phone and sat down on the nearest sofa to recollect the journey of six months that she had faced with him.
---
‘You’re the one person I never want to see in my life!’
‘I hate you!’
‘You selfish bitch!’
‘And what about the pain you had given me!’
‘You mean nothing to me!’
‘Go to hell!’
‘I wish my sister had never chosen you!’
---
The journey had been epic. And if today he was no more, then she wouldn’t have anyone to fight with. Yes they hadn’t talked for six months, but she knew that she had kept track of him though they behaved like strangers.
He was still her husband.
She was still his wife.
They were still married.
***
“Where is he!” she yelled as she ran towards the stubby nurse. Her anxiety was rising and she was becoming anxious and restless to know whether he was fine. Whether he was breathing and he was still there for her to fight with.
“Arnav Singh Raizada. Where is he!” she yelled again. The nurse guided her towards the operation room where he was lying on the bed like a lifeless creature. Her heart ached to see him placed between the group of white monsters dressed as doctors. His eyes were shut while his chest was heaving with the mask placed on his mouth to breathe. He couldn’t breathe. His forehead had a white cloth wrapped around to heal the deepened wound and to stop the never ending blood.
She noticed the transparent tube going from his wrist to the bottle which was hung on the stand with a liquid flowing down. Her eyes were stuck on the small glass pieces being removed from his arm, his face, his waist… everywhere!
Glass pieces were plucked out as if millions of thorns were placed in him. She couldn’t believe her eyes, a month back she had said that she wished he died, and maybe today was the day that her wish would come true. But she didn’t want that. She didn’t want him to die. She wanted him to come back and sort out the problems that they had left untouched. She wanted to sort out their marriage for a better future.
She wanted to do everything that was possible for her to save their marriage. Because she knew that this was his sister’s wish. And she knew that he was just tied in this relationship because of her. For his sister’s happiness he was bearing her.
Her heart wrenched as she saw the white monsters trying to make him breathe, treating his body like an object.
***
The red light had turned off and the monsters came out. She rushed towards them with her pleading eyes, “How is he?” she asked in a worried tone.
Her arms fell as they shook their heads and walked past her, indicating her that it wasn’t good news. Pushing the door open, she held her breath as she dragged herself towards the bed where her husband slept.
The screeching noise of the stool had brought her back to reality for a moment before she sat next to him. Letting her fingers slide across his face, she pushed back some of the hair landing on his eyes. He indeed did have long hair. Her other hand entwined with his hand as she closed her eyes to console herself.
“Arnav” she whispered and shot her eyes open.
By now her inner emotions couldn’t be held back, and tears were rolling down her eyes. The sunlight shone upon the two as she held his hand tighter, not wanting to let go.
“Arnav” her breath hitched as she whispered again.
“I’m here” she sighed.
Khushi sniffed a bit and bent downwards towards his ear, “Arnav wake up, you’ll get late for your meeting” she spoke.
It was as if she wasn’t willing to accept the truth. It was bitter, but it was true. “Won’t you say that you hate me Arnav?” she asked him with a slight smile.
Hearing no response from him did bother her. Anger was what she felt at the moment. He was ignoring her while she was talking to him and she didn’t like that. Placing her hands around him, she shook his body to wake him. To let him know that she was still there to annoy him no matter. But still. There was no movement. No response. Only ignorance.
“Arnav! Get up right now! This isn’t a joke!” she yelled at him. Soon her hands began to retreat them to their respective place and her eyes were getting watery again. A tear drop made its way down her soft cheek and her hand rose to feel her eyes.
‘Why am I crying?’ she questioned herself. ‘He had hurt me numerous times, made me cry countless times, he made my life miserable and he’s going through misery… why am I crying!’
Her mind and her heart were having a heated argument as she suddenly realized. His chest was not heaving, the mask was not there, no movement was seen in him.
He was dead.
She sulked down, and wept… letting out all her feelings for him. She was heartbroken after seeing him dead. But she wasn’t ready to accept this. She wasn’t ready to believe that he had also left her just like her entire family had. His entire family had. Their entire family had.
They were the only ones left for each other. And she couldn’t lose him at any cost.
“I promise I will listen to everything you say! Even if you ask me to leave I will do that but please. Please come back Arnav! Please!” she pleaded.
Moments passed by and she could feel herself losing him. There was no way she could save him, but there was no way she was going back home empty hand.
“No Arnav! You can’t do this! You can’t back out! You had promised me misery… but not like this!” she held onto his collar and pulled it towards her.
Shaking him again she continued, “You have to come back Arnav! You have to yell at me and say that you never want to see me again! Arnav you have to!”
Her mouth was fiercely placed on his as she breathed in him. Pumping his chest numerous times to hear one sigh, but there was complete silence. Still she continued breathing in him till he had finally let out a sigh.
It was as if he had been electrocuted and brought back to life. “Doctor!” she yelled. Sounds of the furious footsteps came in the room as she held onto Arnav’s hand, telling him that he will be ok and she will always be there for him.
“Please go outside Mrs. Raizada… we will handle the situation” said one of the doctors. To her they were one of the cold monsters who only cared about the early deposit for the actual treatment. A doctor’s first priority was to save a life, not earn money.
Khushi softly let go of his hand and stepped a back a few steps and he looked at her with his helpless, wondering what was wrong. “No.” he said. “She’s not going nowhere!” this time he growled at the group of monsters.
“Mr. Raizada she has to go out and wait until we are finished with the procedure… please try and understand…” the doctor pushed Arnav back on the bed to lay down again.
Khushi gestured him that she would be waiting outside for him and that he should stay calm. “She’s mm-yy wwii-ffe doctor…” he mumbled. At that point Khushi froze. It was as if she had heard the biggest shock of her life. This was the first time Arnav Singh Raizada had referred her as his wife. His wife.

A/N:
I have no idea what I wrote above. I didn’t even proof-read it before posting it up so please forgive me if there are any errors. And yes, I really don’t know what I wrote.

[Read the Note below]

Note

So yes I have started a new story, I don’t exactly know whether it’ll be a FF or an SS so I’m just going to be writing it the way it flows…

‘P.S I love you’ has been discontinued and I don’t want to have a discussion on that in any sort of way. And here I am to present you a very complicated and hard piece of work that I am trying to write. I will try to portray as many emotions as possible with all your help.

Let’s see what response this piece of work receives

~Rav
